A Welcoming First Overnight Camp for Ages 7–10
Camp Frontier gives first-time and younger Campers ages 7–10 a welcoming introduction to overnight camp through caring staff, dependable routines and age-fit activities; a one-week option is available, though longer stays are encouraged. Trailblazers have room to try new things, make friends and grow in confidence within a community designed for their stage of childhood.
A First Overnight Camp Experience Designed for Ages 7–10
The Trailblazer experience is built for younger Campers who are ready for new friends, new activities and the healthy independence that comes from being away at Camp. Familiar routines and attentive adults help the experience feel manageable while every day still holds something exciting.
A one-week option is available
Campers ages 7–10 may attend a one-week Trailblazer session, but we encourage a longer stay whenever possible. More time gives younger Campers a better opportunity to settle into Camp routines, develop meaningful friendships, build confidence and enjoy the full Camp Frontier experience.
Caring adults and a close cabin community
Counselors live alongside their Campers, while Life Directors oversee lodge life and help staff support each child. With two to four Campers per bunk room, younger Campers can become part of a close, encouraging group.
A dependable daily rhythm with real choice
Meals, flag ceremonies, cabin time and evening programs give each day a reassuring structure. Trailblazers choose two activities for the week and two different afternoon activities each day, giving them both consistency and variety.
Activities that build confidence
Swimming, creative arts, sports, outdoor adventures, horses, performing arts and hands-on discovery give younger Campers many ways to participate at an appropriate pace. Success might mean trying something new, asking for help, encouraging a friend or returning to an activity they want to master.
Staying connected while giving them room to grow
Camp Frontier gives families clear ways to communicate and follow Camp life while protecting the independence and face-to-face friendships that make OverNight Camp valuable. Parents can review the current communication guidance before arrival.
Prepare together before Camp
Talk about the activities that sound exciting, practice simple routines and pack together using the Adventure Guide. A positive, confident goodbye helps a young Camper begin seeing Camp as an adventure they are ready to enjoy.
